The July 2019 European heat wave ... all-time national heat records were broken by 3.1C (5.6F) in the Netherlands, by 3C (5.4F) in Belgium, by 2.9C (5.2F) in Luxembourg, by 2.1C (3.8F) in Germany and by 0.2C (0.36F) in the United Kingdom.

In June 2017 Iran's city of Jask had a dew point of 33C (91.4F). Combined with the high air temperature, the heat index was 69C (156F). The highest temperature in Ahvaz was 54C.

In July 2017, China's Xi'an experienced its hottest July with the average high of 36.6C. Additional record highs were set in Chongqing 42C, Xi'an 41.8C, Hangzhou 41.3C, Hefei 41.1C, Xujiahui Station of Shanghai 40.9C, Nanjing 40C, and Wuhan 39.7C.

Xunyang, Shaanxi set a new record for southern China at 44.7C. Erbaoxiang, Turpan set a new record for the whole of China at 50.5C. The average temperature for China in July 2017 was 23.2C.

In July 2016, Mitribah, Kuwait reached 54C and Basra, Iraq reached 53.9C, the highest temperatures recorded in the Eastern Hemisphere on Earth outside of the USA's Death Valley.

The Australian summer of 2012–2013, saw 123 weather records fall over a 90-day period, including the hottest day recorded in Australia as a whole, the hottest January on record, the hottest summer average on record, and a record seven consecutive days when the continent averaged above 39C.

Single-day temperature record were broken in dozens of towns and cities, as well as single-day rainfall records, and several rivers flooded to new record highs. From December 28, 2012, through to January 9, 2013. A couple of spots neared 50C.

Canberra record also falls at 44c, with the political centre also labelled as currently having worst air pollution in the world because of surrounding bushfires.
