Our comment: On the longer term, there's nothing to get used too. This is not a new normal. This is just another year in the planet's transition ever upward to a global hothouse climate. It will keep getting hotter even if mankind's CO2 and methane emissions are stopped, which of course won't happen. Life will soon enough be all about adaption and survival for the great many people who live in marginal areas. Perhaps the global conversation should be more about survival than mitigation, because it does appear that the horse has bolted.
